Jaclyn Parell is genius. "I don't know what to wear to Meggin's... Let's wear togas." Now that is what I call resourceful! And after this weekend of wrapping things up, saying goodbyes, and coming home, I'm finally ready to start summer. Although, if anyone has any job ideas, please let me know-- I've already applied to a few places but nothing seems to be working out...
I have yet to make a list of summer goals, but I'm starting with just doing something productive everyday. Because when it all comes down to it, I just don't like going to bed un-accomplished.
So today I'm going to clean my room.
(that was a joke if none of you got it... I'll be cleaning my room all summer)

Beverley Hills Chihuahua
If this was still an Art of Film blog, I would post a wonderful critique about Beverley Hills Chihuahua. For real, probably one of the best movies in the world. I wish Natalie and Bubba could have watched it with me, but in less than a month they can!
Last night I experienced Yanni for the first time. The most memorable part of it, besides the crazy violin duos, peruvian harp player, crazy percussionists, leather-pant man, and beautiful music, was by FAR getting scolded by an old lady. Xerxes and I got up during a song and walked to the side near an exit to salsa dance. Within maybe 30 seconds an usher on the side told us "I'm sorry but I can't let you dance here." (!!!) It was so reminiscent of Kelly being yelled at for dancing at summerfest. Seriously, what is it with people. Dancing is a wonderful thing that should be shared with the world. In Elf, Buddy repeatedly reminds people "the best way to spread christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear," and I think that can be closely correlated with "the best way to spread love in the world, is dancing." (if anyone can figure out a way to make that rhyming and cutesty, please let me know)
Alright more updates later, sorry for being so behind.

Rehearsal for "Noche de Fuego"
So within the past two days, I've spent at least 8 hours dancing. We've been learning a salsa dance for our end of the year performance, and last night around 11:30pm we decided to record an attempt at performance. (keep in mind we were all reeeeeallly tired) but none-the-less we look amazing.

RA Intern programs = too much free food
Yes, he actually wore it. It may have been forced on him, but he did wear it proudly. One of the mainly highlights of last week was that the RA Interns had to organize programs. So in addition to the multiple bbq's, beach parties, pool parties, and tug-o-war contest, I also made this awesome t-shirt.
Oh, and Radhames told this riddle/puzzle at lunch today-- try to solve it. (he said it all in spanish though, so it took me a little longer)
You have a 5-gallon bucket, a 3-gallon bucket and a surplus of water. How do you measure out 4 gallons?

And he shall be my squishy.
Dear Ocean,
It seems like everything that washes on shore brings a lot of excitement and curiosity to us beach adventuring people. Like today, for instance, I went to the beach around 5pm to support Erica and her RA intern event thing. A bubble of something rolled in with the waves and Xenia and I just had to explore it. Turns out that our friend "Frederick," whom we buried after I had thoroughly poked and played with him (because you would think that things are safe when they're dead), was a portuguese man of war. And apparently, it's common knowledge down here that "You aren't supposed to touch those!" and "They will sting you!" and "They really hurt!". I'm sorry but I come from a land of lakes, and I don't know what a jellyfish sting feels like.
But now I do.
And I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but it really hurts. It feels like I have hives on my fingers and they won't go away and the tingling pain has reached my cheeks and under my arms and I'm going to go take a nap now. And I just want Manute to pee on it.
